Guess Pitch-On or Off?

I struggle every year deciding whether to turn it on or off. The High Heat series got me hooked on it b/c it always seemed to help me work deep into counts. That also kept pitch counts accurate.

But anymore it almost seems like cheating and makes it easier to hit. Though it does help the same areas (pitch count, deep counts). So what is your opinion on it? On or off? And those who want sim results. Do you leave it on or off? Thanks

Off...always OFF.
It is nothing more than a cheat IMO. If you want to guess pitch then do it. I just don't think you should get a boost (or know if you're wrong for that matter) if you guess right.

Anyways I never use it.

I use it at the 1/4 setting. I never personally move the left analog when I hit, and if you guess right the PCI thing locks into place(not ever square on the ball either) So far my profile stats are:

7-3 record, .258avg, 10HRs, and 38RBIs....Looks realistic to me!

I only use it if I have a favorable count. On 3-0, 3-1 count I'll guess a fastball.

I've never used it and I never will. There is sufficient reward if you time your swing correctly (waiting on a change up, speeding up the bat for a fastball) that I don't need any additional benefit by guessing ahead of time.

I use it with no feedback. To me it's realistic to sometimes guess, or "look" for a certain pitch. Usually I wait until I'm ahead of the count.

It hurts more than it helps because when you guess Fastball up and in, and you get the Red Flash and the Controller shake, that ball could be inside or up high by 2 feet and it still gives you a correct-guess indication.

Leave it off, and if you want to guess, just guess. The reward is so much better when you crush a pitch you were sitting on when you know it was your decision, not the cheat or boost helping you out.

I use whatever translates online, that's why I try not to mess with settings. guess pitch is a feature online so you might as well use it so that when you play someone on line you are on a level playing field.

I never use it. It feels much more rewarding when it's all you.

That is what brought it back to my attention. Played someone online and noticed they were using guess pitch, so I started using it. I think my problem is when I guess right, I nearly always swing, even if it is a ball.

Nope. Artificial stat inflation or deflation.

I do not use any feature that assist me and forgoes actual stats.

Guess Pitch Off
AI pitch suggestions Off
Confidence Off

None of that happens with No Feedback this year. All those points should not be valid anymore.

I'm torn on this issue. I ususally use 1/4 Guess Pitch, but I tried playing with it off and I hit a lot better. Then again, I played online and guessed a slider inside and cranked a Grand Slam with Carlos Lee.

The problem is I feel like I abuse it. I'll guess fastball, and if it doesn't register then I know to look slow.
