Bobbing for Apple Trophy

I need help with this trophy from someone who already has achieved it. Its description says,

"In any mode, hit a home run that hits the center-field apple at Citi-Field."

SO i have been using HRD with Babe Ruth and just launcing them out there towards middle. I have hit the Black part around the Apple a bunch of times and no Luck. So do i have to hit the apple EXACTLY. Anyone have any tips that has already got this trophy unlocked. Also is there an easier way. Like a home game playing as the mets and hitting a hr, will that make the Apple go off? just looking for some help, Thanks

I have it, you're supposed to hit it exactly where the Apple COMES from (that huge hole)

I swear I hit it in that hole the apple comes out of but it didn't give it to me. It seems like ya pretty much gotta hit the apple itself.

Yeah I dropped it in the hole once and it didn't count.

When I got the trophy, I actually hit it over the apple to the wall behind it, and it just gently bounced/rolled back towards the apple. So it doesn't need to be a direct hit... it can ricochet.

Just keep at it and be patient. You've got plenty of time to get the trophy.

That's how I got the Wrigley fence one, it hit 15 rows in and just bounced back and hit the fence.
