How did this game even pass certification?

I know this is seperate from the bugs/glitches thread, but it really needs to be said, and in its own thread.

How exactly is this game even out in stores, and not still being bug tested? I have now played 5 online games, and have had my game freeze after finishing 3 of them, and the game freeze DURING the other 2. I am not alone. Many others have had this exact same problem. And it's not as if it is some obscure bug that needs multiple conditions to take affect. It happened TWO PITCHES IN to my last game. MVP Baseball 2005 had more stable network code, and it was released 6 years ago.

Update - just tried playing another game, game froze 2 pitches in. What exactly did I pay for as a consumer? With any other product, if it doesn't work, you can get your money back. But I guess video games can skirt this quality control issue.

Update 2 - Another game played, this time it froze after just 1 pitch. So at least I didn't waste too much of my time.

These are all valid criticisms of the game, and therefore should not be subject to a silly banning or thread deletion.

I have played 5 games online so far and only 1 game had a serious lag and it lasted 3 seconds. 2 of the 5 games ran smooth the whole time, the other 2 ran smooth 95 percent of the time.

none of this has happened to me (and my connection is wireless)

it probably depends on your connection, router (if wireless), ISP...

        all kinds of stuff

plus, id imagine SCEA tested it with a wired connection

I have the PS3 and the 360. I have wireless on both and the 360 is not a problem online. There are so may complaints that you have to pay $50 a year for the XBL Gold membership and now you see why there online is so much better.

I wouldn't be so quick to blame the game for your issues. What you are reporting is not widespread, which would lead me to believe it's your setup that is causing the problem.
