Is this game really worth buying if u have 09??

Just curious because many people on multiple forums ive visited stated that this game is simply an updated version of 09 the show. So is this game worth an extra 60 dollars???

I would say yes, but I'd wait until the next patch comes out, if it ever does.

This game is very buggy, and I'm not talking about silly things that don't really affect the overall experience. There are major freezing issues and other things with the franchise mode that really make it almost unplayable. I love this series, but it's really hard to look past the fact that the game freezes almost 20% of the time that I play it.

The upgrades are definitely worth it though. The new broadcast cam is amazing and real-time presentation is also cool if you are into that kind of thing like I am. So yes, definitely worth buying this years version if you can wait.

Anyway, I'm uncertain yet whether I can advise this purchase to the general crowd. It was worth it for me, though it saddens me that I can't yet start my franchise with some of the issues there are.

However, there were some things that made me feel this game was plenty the same to buy two baseball titles this year instead of just one.

My opinion is absolutely yes. Between the 30 team control in franchise, manual injuries, daytime progression, rtp, working throwing meter, etc. It is much more than just an update of 09. For me it was well worth the $60.

YES. This game is different but a good different for me. I'm addicted to it and I haven't even played with my Cubs yet(waiting on Knights rosters).

Certainly it's worth it. Yes, there are problems, as have been discussed throughout this forum in detail. However, I've come to feel that the game has evolved enough in positive ways to make it more than distinct enough from '09 to warrant a purchase. And it's not just different; it offers an overall more authentic feel.

And if you are worrying about the glitches that appear in Franchise/RTTS, I like to think that the developers are going to get them fixed by April at the latest. They cant afford having bad will on the consumer when a majority of them should be fixable. 2011 rolls around and a person is going to go why should I buy this game new or at all when last year had problems and they didn't fix it.

I just got it off ebay.. brand new for $45.. i hope its worth it... I know it has bugs but hopefully a patch will fix it... To me, the updates rosters and better online play make it worth it.

'10 makes '09 look visually scrappy i.m.o....I can never play '09 again knowing how B-E-A-utiful '10 looks & plays. (It really IS that big of a difference with all the shadows & smooth animations)

When it's all said & done... '10 kicks '09's a$$.
