I ordered the game from ebay... and it was a scam!

Yesterday afternoon, i was on ebay and saw an " Buy it now" auction for $44 for the show 10. Great deal! Seller had 16 feedbacks alll 100%. And he had more then 10 available. I have used ebay A LOT and have only had one problem years ago when i first started. So i purchased it. That night, 45 copies were sold and still going. It didnt make sense. I started reading the feedback left buy others. All of them were left that day. Each thing he purchased was " positive feedback". People on ebay charge $1 to give positive feedback so thats what this person did. Then i checked his other listings. He was selling all the current top games for cheap with an umlimited amount. I reported him to ebay and by the time i went to bed last night, someone wrote on his feedback, SCAM!... When i woke up, his account is no longer registered. Then i found another account with him doing the same thing, selling the same games and everything. Now that is gone too

So i have to dispute the charge. Ebay makes me wait 1 week ( or after estimated delivery date), but its a scam and im not waiting, so i filed a charge. Well i emailed them and said its a scam, can they cancel the transaction.. But how much does that stink!? I thought i was getting a great deal. But after selling a total 58 games of the show and selling all top games, thats suspicious!


UPDATE: I GOT THE GAME! It was not a scam. I am shocked... But it was a great deal!!

Yeah. usually ebay is good. But the " items available over 10" was where it was weird and the fact he was selling all the current to games the same way was weird. And then when i saw he purchased positive feedback.. then i knew the truth...

your not likely to get much savings on it until the end of the month on ebay. Try craigslist right now.

I've been there. It also involved a video game, actually. But I disputed the charge with PayPal and won the case. FWIW, mine did not involve a game priced significantly under market price. It was something like $2 under. I was just buying through eBay at the time because of Bing cashback deals.

At least you found on quickly. It took a couple days before I officially figure out I got scammed. I suspected early on that I was, but it was one of those things where the other person also could have been telling the truth about what "problems" they had with my order, so I had to wait it out a bit.

Same thing happened to me except it was with a ps3, the seller became an unregistered user the day after the sale. I actually lost both my appeals with Paypal but a couple of weeks later the seller gave me a refund

Yeah it stinks.. I hope they just cancel the transaction. I really dont want to have to deal with this. its a pain! Im going home for break at the end of the week so im hoping it will be dealt with by then, but i doubt it.
