Oakand
I am starting my offline franchise with Oakland. I will be using the default rosters. I will play every game (on all-star) and I want to contend. I will likely sign Erik Bedard to be my #2 starter. I'm not sure about Ellis at 2nd base or Pennington at SS. Also, I want to add a big bat in the OF.
Any advice on signing free agents or trades that will help me do that are appreciated.Tags: None -

Re: Oakand
I guess I will be the first to give you some quality advice. First thing I would do is call up Michael Taylor. He is going to be an absolute stud in the outfield and at the plate. I like to keep it realistic and signing bedard is definitely unrealisitic because he is on a division rival. I don't think you need to sign anyone. here's your lineup
Coco Crisp CF
Kurt Suzuki C
Kevin Kouzmanoff 3b
Jack Cust DH
Jake Fox 1b
Eric Chavez ss (he can play ss very well in this.)
Michael Taylor RF/LF (I rotate him with sweeney and davis
Mark Ellis 2b
Ryan Sweeney LF
you got rajai davis, daric barton, pennington, and whoever else you want on your bench.
your rotation will look like this
Sheets
Duscherer
Anderson
Braden
Cahill/Mazarro
A very young, quality rotation.
and the bullpen is pretty much set as well with Bailey closin it out and you got a lot of different options with Kilby, Blevins, Ziegler, etc.....
Good Luck. Go A's!Comment
