There is simply no way Willy Tavares and his OPS+ of 68 has a brighter future than those guys.

They're already aware of it. The threads on this issue are a few pages back however.Comment

Re: Potentials Still Off For Some Players
Alright, that's good at least. I would like to know how Vernon Wells somehow ended up with a B for potential after the season he put up last year.Comment

Re: Potentials Still Off For Some Players
because potential isnt about the your numbers, its about your skills. So if vernon wells is a B, they must think he has a better chance at staying the majors than nyjer morganComment

Re: Potentials Still Off For Some Players
....not to mention that 'potential' in itself is just a 'tad-bit' arbitrary. As a Cub fan I have seen plenty of guys who were supposed to, possibly be the next-big-thing - one to two years later they are out of the game.
I mean, really, potential is about your potential numbers - and no one knows that.Last edited by CPT; 03-13-2010, 02:09 AM.Comment

I love how in these threads everyone thinks the guys on their favorite team should all be rated higher.Comment

Re: Potentials Still Off For Some Players
Not necessarily. Think of it this way. First basemen are dime a dozen, so in that aspect, Willingham is average, but Taveras (even though he is pretty horribly) is at a more premiere position, which also takes defense into account more.Note to self: BUY MADDEN 12*
