    Alternate Uniforms '10

For those of us who are really into authenticity as we go through our seasons, I figured it would be nice to put together a list of when each team wears its alternate uniforms here in 2010; that way when we get to those games during the season, we can always have the opposing team wearing the uniform that they would normally be wearing on that day. I'll start with what I know, and I will update it as people provide information.

Baltimore: Alternate black uniform worn on all Fridays, both home and away. They also wear their Spring Training uniforms at home one Tuesday every month during the regular season.

Boston: Red uniforms for Friday home games, blue uniforms for Friday road games.

    NY Yankees: No alternate uniforms

Tampa Bay: Home alternates worn on Sundays. Road alternates worn for some weekend games *In real life, road alternates are supposed to be for home, & vice-versa*

Toronto: Alternate Black used at random. Baby blue throwbacks are used at home sometimes on the last game of a weekday series, but mostly when they're day games; but not in the game (if you want, you can use the white throwbacks).

Chicago White Sox: Alternate Black uniforms are worn at home and on the road for almost every game. The regular home and away uniforms are actually quite rare.

Cleveland: Alternate home uniforms are worn on Saturdays and Sundays as well as for the Home Opener. Alternate road is random.

    Detroit: No alternate uniforms

Kansas City: Alternate baby blue on home day games. Alternate road is random.

Minnesota: Alternate home is random. Alternate home Throwback Old uniforms are worn for Saturday home games.

LA Angels: Alternate jerseys worn randomly. (the home alternates seem to be worn for weekend games - maybe only day games?)

Oakland: Starting pitcher's choice: Duchscherer wears the Alternate black uniform at home. Road alternates worn randomly.

Seattle: Alternate home unis worn on Friday & Monday home games.

Texas: Alternate reds worn randomly, & when they face the Angels & Astros at home. Alternate road blue is random.

Atlanta: Alternate Red uniforms used at home on Sundays. The Alternate road uniform is chosen at the starting pitcher's discretion.

Florida: Alternate Black used at random.

Washington: Alternate Red worn at home for all weekend games (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

NY Mets: Alternate home pinstriped uniform is worn at random, but mostly on weekends & Opening Day (real-life uniform is cream-colored this year, but it's not in the game). Alternate black road uniform is worn at random.

Philadelphia: Alternate cream-colored uniforms for day games at home. The road alternate in the game is never used.

Chicago Cubs: Uniforms are decided by the starting pitcher. Zambrano will always wear the alternate blue both at home and on the road. Silva always wears the alternate blue on the road only. Randy Wells randomly wears the blue unis (maybe about 50% of his starts). Dempster and Lilly never wear the alternate unis. (NOTE: Current speculation is that the blue home uniforms might have been eliminated as they haven't been worn at all in 2010.)

Cincinnati: Alternate Red home uniforms are worn for every day game except Opening Day. The Alternate road uniforms are never used.

Houston: Alternate red road uniform worn on almost every single road game unless the home team happens to be wearing a similar color (like the Reds or D-Backs). The Alternate home uniform in the game is used for Saturdays and holidays. The Astros also wear a brick red alternate home uniform, but it's not in the game. The Spring Training uniform looks somewhat similar, but it's not quite the same. You still might be interested in trying it out.

Milwaukee: Alternate home throwbacks worn the first Friday of every month except the first month. Alternate road is random, but mostly on weekends.

Pittsburgh: Sleeveless home alternates worn for Sunday home games. Black road alternates worn on Fridays or Saturdays (they wear it on Friday, they won't wear it on Saturday *vice-versa*).

St. Louis: "Alternate" uniform with the blue cap w/ Cardinal on it is worn for all Sunday home games. They never wear the "Alternate" uniform on the road, which also features the cap with the Cardinal on it in the game.

Arizona: Alternate Black uniforms are worn at home on Saturdays; Alternate Red road uniforms are worn on Wednesdays and most weekend games.

    Colorado: Alternate jerseys are random.

    LA Dodgers: No alternate uniforms

San Diego: Alternate Camo uniform worn for Sunday home games as well as Military Opening Night (April 14th this year), Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. They wear throwback uniforms every Thursday afternoon home game. Alternate roads are random but very frequent.

San Francisco: Alternate Orange for Friday night home games except for Opening Day.

I believe the Jays royal blue uniform are usually for the throwback fridays home games (not sure if it'll be the same this year) but sadly they have the blue as away alternate so that won't work out well. As for the black alternate.. I believe it's up to the pitchers as well like the cubs.

The Astros alternate jersey in this game is actually the one they usually wear on Sunday and holiday games unless they've changed it for this season.

Braves wear the red home alts on Sundays. I think the road jerseys (gray or blue) are chosen by the starting pitcher.

The black alternates for the Jays are used for Saturday & Sunday home games mostly if I recall.

I never got the answer to if the Twins are wearing sleeveless jerseys at times this yr. If they are, they aren't in the game. I wish they would make more uniforms available via download. I wouldn't pay for 1 uniform, but I might be willing to pay for a collection of different uniforms that aren't in the game.

I haven't checked, but I think the Dodgers Brooklyn unis were left out. SMH, if that's true.

Will Sony add them in DLC or is this just useless?

After they fixed the Twins stadium in a patch, i refuse to believe they can't add more uniforms

There are ALOT of Classic/Retro uniforms that were left out....and many that are plain inaccurate. For example, I cant believe how the SD design team got their own team's retro uniform wrong...The Padres!

I wish they would correct the inaccurate ones and add the missing retro/classics...at least the more popular ones that everyone remembers.
