This is such a weird trade rumor.

When I played my franchise last year, the phillies and cards really did make this trade, and it practically ruined my franchise cuz i felt that it was so unrealistic... lol

It would just be a terrible trade for St Louis, they have the best, most complete player in the game. Howard is good but he strikesout a lot and is very streaky. He's nowhere near as good as Pujols.

In theory the trade does actually make alot of sense, the Phillies are very left handed heavy and could use a power hitting righty in the middle of the order. The Cards are very righty heavy so a big lefty like Howard in front of or behind Holliday would be deadly. That said, Howard is nowhere near the complete player Poo-holes is.

The only reason this is considered, is because the Cards are afraid Pujols goes to FA.

"About the Howard/Pujols story the other day: What was written was dead on. I did not write that there were on-going discussions between the two teams. I did not write that the Cardinals had an inclination to deal Pujols. I did not write that the Phillies are looking to dump Ryan Howard. Internal discussions are how the Cardinals got to the point where they made a deal last summer for Matt Holliday. Quite frankly, if the Phillies' executives didn't have those kinds of conversations, they wouldn't be doing their jobs."
