    I hate to complain, but....

I think this is a WORTHY complaint!

Bases loaded.....bottom of the eighth inning.....one out......tie score (4-4). My batter hits into a double play. End of the inning, right? Yes.....BUT....the game COUNTS THE RUN from third base!!! The ninth inning starts with the score 5-4. WTF?

Of course....why complain when I score a "freebie" run? I cannot BELIEVE this happens in such a polished and highly acclaimed MLB franchise game!!! Give me a break!

It does suck but it has been documented in the bugs and glitches thread.

did any fielder bobble the ball on the play?

I have played this game quite a bit and have yet to see this.

There have been times too there was a runner on third and he crossed the plate before the throw made it to first and the run never counted.

        Hopefully I never see this!!!

Yeah that sucks not good at all. Would like to know the answer to CB's question though.

Why? A fielder bobbling it is irrelevant if they still turned the double play.

It happened to me last year also, I thought it would of got fixed. Obvously not.

I also was closing my first game vs Houston and Hunter Pence hit a ball that was going over but it gravitated into Velez's glove and that was the game. In the replay it showed the ball would of scrapped over top of fence, but no rob HR indicator came up so I thought was just going to catch up against wall. Ended up caught, but should of been a HR.

Surprised as well that this would happen. Was the double play forced? Because if it was a 3-6 DP where the 1b tagged first-base first then threw onto the SS for the tag, the run would count if he crossed HP before the tag...

Because the last guy who had this similar problem said his fielder bobbled it. And that could of triggered the bug, that is why it is relevant.

I also believe this issue of the run counting was in last years game but I never had seen it as well.

                    Hmmmm....

Oh, ok. I didn't know that. Thanks for clarifying.

And yes, I know that you and CB both know baseball which is why I was asking.

Haha yeah. The last time this happened I think the game thought it was a broken play so it counted the runs even when it shouldn't of. I've never seen this myself but it would help us narrow this problem down if the same exact thing happened again.

because I'm trying to determine if maybe that is what is triggering the bug to happen, so that it could be relayed to the developers.

I have yet to see this. I have turned double plays and had force outs to end innings with runners on 3rd base, and have yet to see this bug happen. Therefore, I'm trying to see if maybe there is something right in front of us that is triggering it to happen.

Most likely the runner is scoring before the out! So I am sure they can fixed that. If that is the case.

I'd like to know what actually happened on the play.

                              Imshark...

What was the combination of the double play? 5-4-3...4-6-3...3-6-3...etc..
