    Problems hitting homeruns in RTTS

Does anyone have suggestions for hitting homeruns in RTTS. I have both power numbers up to 95. I started in the big leagues in april and hit 8 homeruns. Since then I have went a full month without any homeruns and my guy does not have anything more than warning track power. Any suggestion as far as next attributes to assign points to to increase homeruns. Even on meatball, perfect timing I can't seem to get the ball out.

All you need is power and contact to hit homeruns. I have hit 215 HR's in 3+ years of RttS on HoF difficulty. This thing you have to know is which pitches to swing at. I have hit all pitches out, including knuckle balls. You have to be patient and not swing at all pitches that look good. The best pitch to hit out is the inside pitch, be it a fastball, curveball, whatever. You just have to be patient. I have 25 HR's in late May. It's not impossible.

Not saying it is impossible, so contact next? I think my contact is below 70. How about plate vision does it help with HR's?

I've also learned that it is harder to hit HRs if you are using Guess Pitch and guess wrong even if you square up on the ball. The penalty for guessing wrong seems much greater this year than previoius installments.

As the previous poster also said, turning on inside pitches is the best.

You should get your contact up. It makes for getting the barrel of the bat to the ball easier. Vision and discipline seem to play some role in it, according to Russell from SCEA. However, I just went through a stretch where I hit 8 HR's in 5 games, mainly from hanging breaking balls, and my DISC and VIS was right around 85.

Cool thanks, I think I will quit guessing pitch, guess fastball everytime. Also will work on contact

I use guess pitch - no feedback - but I focus on location. I use rookie hitting, and it the pitch is away I go opposite field. If it's middle to inside I pull it.

Plate Vision is going to help a lot because power rating be damned, if you're not making great contact, HRs will be harder to hit. Plate Vision will increase your margin of error.

I turned my Solid hiots down to zero to improve the ball speed realistically and fielder speed to zero for the XBH. As I turned solid hits to 0 my Home runs became more affluent with my play. I have a RTTS guy right in 2010 July who has 52-50 Power respectively with Psycho bulks ([perfect *******) I have hit 11 home runs in a month in a half with solid hits on 0 .. I only have 15 homers on the year in MLB I been in the majors since may 2010
