Game vanshied, yet stats counted??? What happened?

I just played a game Phi - SF (me). I won the game 3-1. Lowered Wellemeyers ERA to 4.38, Homered with Sandoval etc.

I went back into my franchise and the next days starters (Lincecum-Halladay) moved up to that day I just played. The win isn't there yet my individual player stats are still up to date including an injury.

When I go into the game it shows Wellemeyers stamina as really low...and he news paper says tonights game is Wellemeyer vs Moyer...

Basically the games outcome didn't count and the next days starting pitching (including a promotion i set for the NEXT day) moved up.

Only thing i did differently was the code for the announcers. Did that during the game. After set the promotion for my next game and quit.

I don't get it.

Ack.. and going into the next game Tim's stamina isn't full and says hes hurt pre game. Then all my players are super tired. Everything is gimpy....

Sandovals player card career stats for 2010 show 6 hr's, yet next page for 2010 stats 7 hr's....

I've had this happen and posted it in the bugs/glitches thread. In my case I finished a game and was tooling around in my franchise menu. By accident I hit the back button and went to the main game menu. Since I had autosave enabled I figured it wouldn't be a problem, but when I loaded my franchise back up I saw the same situation as you are describing. The game basically disappeared but it was still on my schedule and the starters that were supposed to be in the next game moved up to this one. I even looked at the standings. I was in April, so I was like 7-7, but I won this game. So the standings showed me as 8-7, but if you looked at my calendar and counted my record it was still 7-7. So even though the game "disappeared" it still counted towards the standings. And my guys accumulated the stats and those stuck. I was going to sim through the season to see if my standings would show me with 163 games, but I never did. Since it was kind of early on I abandoned that franchise and started a new one.

This happened to me a couple of times last year, so I've gotten into the habit of advancing to the next day after a game and manually saving, even with autosave on.

Yeah guess I will from now on too. Too bad I need to start over. Probably would of soon anyway with Knights rosters though.

Just had this happen, and seriously, this is a pain in the ***.

I don't have the option of restarting, as I'm almost to the all-star break. I'm just concerned the statistical anomaly of my record having an extra game is going to affect the end of the season. It isn't gonna break the game, is it?

Here is my situation, as I actually just played the same game twice, and THEN had it happen again. So now I'm still stuck at this game, and think I picked up an extra W and L.

It is a Sunday, June 13th game, my Royals at Cincinnati Reds (like I want to bat the pitcher...AGAIN) with an off-day following on Monday.

No clue why this is happening, but I suppose I'll have to play it AGAIN, and attempt to remember to do an actual save before I turn the system off. This is a huge pain in the ***, as the original poster said, because all of your guys are bottomed out on energy, almost as if it is JUST past the end of the game, like a double header or something. Not to mention I've now used all 5 pitchers in "3" games with the Reds.

This is pretty much unforgiveable and almost a season killer. Every one of my stats is now inflated or deflated by at least one game. For a player like me that has little time and just picks up and plays when I get the chance, I don't always remember and recall my last game/if i won/what happened. This honestly could have happened numerous times and I may not even know it.

I know this happens if you finish a game and you receive a prompt immediately after leaving the game (for example, when a player gets injured and it asks if you want to put them on the DL). In that case, the autosave occurs after the stats were saved, but before the game's result was saved.

I think you're right. This happened to me right after a game in which I lost David Eckstein for the season. All of my player stats were there but the games result was not. So sounds like if I had saved again after that I would have been ok.

From everything ive read this happens when an injury occurs. And ive read a ton on this forum.

Yup, my game also had an injury, as Josh Fields pulled a hammy.

Have to just remember to re-save anytime there is an injury. Thanks for potentially solving the mystery. Now if they could just fix it.

Furthermore, I remember, after playing the game the second time, that it once again prompted me with Fields injury, despite the fact that he was already hurt and I couldn't use him in the lineup. I didn't save that time either -- hence me having to play for a 3rd time. (And I got the prompt again...but saved this time)

D'oh, I hate this glitch. It was in the game last year too. Messes up all your team's stamina, throws off your rotation.... it just sucks.

Gotta to save after every game - FIRST THING YOU DO after every game. I have auto-save on as well in case I forget to save, and sure enough the one time I forgot, I got this glitch.
