HELP! MLB 10 The Show won't load (PS3)

    Hey everyone,

Not sure if this has been brought up or not but I just opened my MLB 10 the show and the game stats loading just fine, then I get to the warning/copyright screen and the game freezes. It seems like the system just stops working. The HDD light just remains lit up orange and the game just sits there. If I hit the PS button I can't access any other menu options, any help would be appreciated, if this has been discussed in a previous thread please point me in the right direction, thanks.

The game has an install the first time you play it. Just let it sit for awhile.

Thanks, but I know about all the updates. Everything was installed correctly, including the system update. I sat thru everything, when the game actually starts loading I can view the opening montage and then the warning screen comes up and never goes anywhere.

You might have a bad or corrupt file, I have had it once or twice. Delete everything and re install and try again.

This isn't an update. It's a mandatory install on the hd the first time you play. It may not be whats going on, but it seems like I remember it doing that the first time I played and I thought it was freezing. So I just let it sit for awhile and then it worked.

I already did the install, this is after the install. This happens the first time I try to play the game after all the updates. I will try to uninstall the updates and re install them. Thanks.

Uninstalled the files, reinstalled and still can't get past the warning page.

It sounds like a problem with the disc. That's the first (and only) thing that comes to mind for me. Have you tried bringing the game back and getting a new one?

I'm assuming that other games are loading up alright for you. If its just the disc I suggest taking it back to a store. I had the same problem with nhl 10 for my xbox. I had an initial install and then afterward my game would just stay on the load-up screen. Very frustrating. I took the game back to target, where I bought it however didn't have the reciept but they let me trade it for a new one without any problem and the new one worked great. Maybe they would do the same for you. Hope it works out hate to hear someone losing the ability to play the show.

Clean the disc; I know it's new, but even the smallest of fingerprints makes the game freeze.

If that doesn't work, exchange it.

I put the game into my PS3 and nothing pops up, The disk doesnt even pop up under the Game tab at the bottom. In other words I can play my game because nothing pops up
