    Outfielders in slow motion???

    Anyone see this at all?

I was playing a game and the ball was hit to left field in the corner, then, the left fielder went into an animation that was kinda slow motion, like he had to slow down to sync up with the retrieving the ball animation. I looked at the replay and noticed it as well, just looked funny.

I had this happen as I was up to bat and the CPU was in the field in my franchise.

    can't say that I have.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Yea, I've seen it in the infield too when a SS is covering 2B to turn the double play or when a pitcher is taking the throw at first. No big deal, as long as the play is made.

Yeah, my OFs once every several games will take their sweet time retrieving a ball. It's far and away the most annoying animation in the game, because there is ALWAYS someone on base when it happens and it always ensures they make it first to 3rd or 2nd to home. Beyond irritating.

Had this happen in my last game. Cameron in center field. Ball hit to more center then right center, but he starts over, and goes into a "round the corner glove down animation", in super slow motion, i notice the runner was able to make a turn ( CPU ) and headed for second, i was pissed because no way did i think i ahd a chance at shooting him down, however, pre loaded had more then enough time to pre load lol, and sure enough he got him out. Campbell made the comment "not sure what he was thinking, but he must have seen something to make him want to try that"

I have seen this WAY to much. It is one of the few things that annoys me with the game.

This is EXACTLY what I saw. The round the corner glove down animation by the left field corner. It looked really odd and I never seen it before.

                Re: Outfielders in slow motion???

this happens to me ALOT. and as someone else stated it always happens when i have a chance to turn 2 or if in the OF keeps me from having the chance to keep a runner from advancing that extra base. it would not be so bad but many times after this happens the next batter tends to rope a HR down the line or a hit up the middle. i have lost many games due to this happening alone.

I hate that animation when your chasing a ball close to the wall and your guy picks it up but leans into the wall like he can't stop.

Yep thats it exactly. Have it happen too many times on key plays. You have no chance throwing a runner out at home unless he stops to talk with the umpire.

Has killed online games a few times and of course lots more in my offline franchise.

Posted in the bug thread a long time ago. Probably stuck with it for the rest of MLB10. Lets hope we get enough feedback to them and they don't let it slip into MLB11.

I have seen this alot more than I would like, also the slow animations where the ball hits the wall and the fielder takes forever to turn around and throw it in.

I call it the 1st to 3rd animation because that's going to happen.

                        Re: Outfielders in slow motion???

Yes. This is a near game killer for me. I can't stand not being in control of my fielders. Last season it was the tractor beam on outfield flies. They pretty much fixed that now. This year it is the tractor beam on outfield grounders. I really hate it. I don't mind when I can't get to a ball in time, or I misplay it and cause a run because that is one me. But when I run toward a ground ball and the animation takes over to the point that I can literally set my controller down and wait, well that is when I start screaming in tongues. That and the times when I grab a ground ball off the wall, run a step toward the infield, and then the animation grabs my player and makes him turn around and run into the wall before letting me throw the ball. I just don't understand why fielding is so difficult to get right. MVP 05 had it spot on what 6 years ago?
