    Can't decide on a team

    Hey guys,
I'm really having trouble picking a franchise team and then sticking with them.
I'm just looking for a team that isn't the Yankees or Phillies, has good up and coming players in the majors and minors, and preferably has a nice ballpark.
    Anyone got ideas?

i'm partial to the rangers myself & as they have never won the world series ( or even a playoff series , for that matter ) you could be the first . you probably have to be willing to retool the bullpen , imo . anyways , happy baseball

What about the Braves? We have a very young pitching staff, and the phenom known as Jason Heyward. We have a pretty sweet ballpark too.

yeah man, i've been thinking about the Braves, mainly based on Jason Heyward
the Rangers are one of the other teams I've been thinking about too, along with the Giants and the Mets

It depends on what kind of baseball you want to play. What is the team that plays the way you like to manage a baseball team? Do you like small ball? Or are you a walk & on-base % guy and wait for the big homer to come along? Or are you going to manufacture runs by bunting, sacrificing, or even getting yourself out in order to move a runner a base or bring him in?

I like the Angels because they're aggressive on the base paths, they bunt, go from 1st to 3rd all the time and suicide/safety squezze. They are basically a national team playing in the American League and I love that!

just couple more fun teams to think about.......The Nationals have some really good young talent centered around Dunn and Zimmerman and a nice park. The Brewers have a great lineup with Braun,Fielder,Escobar and Weeks.....plus Gallardo at the top of their rotation. On the Brewers playing in the central gices you a challenge and some breaks. You will have tough games with Cardinals,Cubs and Astros but at the same time you will be able to get some wins against the Pirates and Reds because of their pitching staffs.

Cubs-great ballpark, feel the history, tradition. Goal is to bring World Series to town. After starting spring training 0-14 (i have a thread about it) I am now 7-6 in my season. Won 5 in row, going better from game to game.
Pitching- very solid are Dempster, Lilly, Wells, Silva. Lot of patience with Zambrano.
Hitting-Byrd is a beast along with Ramirez, Soriano, Lee
pretty well are playing Nady, Hill, Tracy, Fontenot
Colvin is big prospect in real life, in game has poor rating not easy to hit with him well....

i'm thinking about the Nationals too, watching them play against the Dodgers yesterday, although they lost, i was impressed with the way they played.

The Cubs are also on my list now, I'm gonna give all these different teams a few goes each in Exhibition mode, see which I'm most impressed with.
But still keep the ideas coming guys, they've been great so far.

Go for the Angels...a strong offensive team that you can be in control with that plays exciting baseball. They have a good shot at the World Series too

right, I'm gonna start off with the Braves, then if it's going well and I'm enjoying the baseball I'll stick with it.
If it doesn't turn out well, I'll go to the Angels.
Anyone have any idea why the lineup changes between spring training and regular season? I really need an answer, and a fix

There is a whole thread called tips and work arounds it will help. In a nutshell you have to manually go down to 25 man rosters before ending spring training. The cpu will do it but only goes by the numbers not the "people".
