    Franchise Power Hitting Problem

Lately (my franchise is in may), I havent been able to hit homeruns. I was leading the league by 1 after 2 weeks and now my team hasn't hit a homerun in about a month on the game. What happened? Mark Reynolds when I guess a pitch is right on a few of them and the most it does is hit a line drive. Also I'm patient when I hit and I zone my pitches, so I do see about 100 pitches (unless the starter is getting rocked) per game from the starter.

I've sat a few of my players to get their energy up but that doesn't seem to correct it, also I've tried inducing a fly ball and it really in my opinion doesn't change a whole lot.

    Any ideas?

Sounds like you may be in a slump and pressing too hard. Ive hit those "valleys" before and what I do is take some time off from the game and pick it up a couple of days later. For me it seems to be mostly psychological than anything. I also never use the power swing at all. Im playing on AS Default as well.

its baseball. i went thru a 2 week stretch to start june and my team batting was terrible. I couldnt get anything going on offense. I batted like .215 in 3 straight series

now i have turned it around, thanks to the pirates and hit over 300 in the past 2 series sweeping both the pirates and phillies.

Try turning guess pitch off. After you get used to it, you should be able to hit better.

All about timing, today I was in a groove hit 3 HR through the 3rd inning @ Houston, turn the hitting difficuly from veteran to all-star and proceed to hit 5 more homers in the game
Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, Lightning

It's probably in my head, but when my power guys are not hitting well I hit contact with them and it seems to get things back in order after a while and then I'll re-introduce the power swing again.

But huge slumps happen. Just ask Carlos Lee, Pablo Sandoval, Adam Jones, Matt Kemp, etc. They've all had huge slumps at some point this year. Carlos Lee probably being the best example. Just brutal.

Absolutely! A large majority of people just use (X) contact swings and see an accurate amount of HR's.(Myself included)

It's a slump. I've had em as well. Just concentrate on winning, playing small ball, etc. and it'll come back.

I used to want to "swing for the fences" when I was down a run or two with RISP. I'd strike out more often than not.

Now, I just worry about putting the ball in play. And sometimes without even trying, BAM------HR.

I have been in a pretty big power slump lately. My Royals started my Franchise off on fire. Ankiel was knocking the hell out of the ball. Gordon was as well. Butler was a double machine.

Then I hit about a 2-3 week slump where I couldn't get an extra base hit to save my life. Especially with my guys who I expect a bit more from (Butler, Guillen, Gordon). For some reason though, it just picked back up. It's a streaky sport.
