    Getting to the Bigs

Is the best advice anyone can have for getting to the MLB doing your advancement goals? I have seen many people make it as a September Call-up in their first year, but it has taken me 4 years to get my guy to the MLB. Any tips?

That's a very good question and I would like to hear some answers on that too. I tried putting all my training points into power (who doesn't love power) and just hit a massive amount of HRs in AAA to see if that will get me to the Bigs faster. So far year 2 and nothing.
    Mets in 2011, why not!!

That does help alot, and of course your performance on the field. One thing that helps or hurts is how deep is the team at your position, obviously if they have 2 or 3 good players at your position it'll take longer to make your way up.

Two thoughts: 1) Get on a team that's thin at your position and 2) Hope John Doe upstairs gets injured and get called up in his place.

Yeah hit your goals, rake in the minors, and keep putting points in contact/power is what has always worked for me. I even leap-frogged a bunch of superstar players that way.

            1. Hit over 50% of your goals every time if you can.
            2. Hit over 50% of your goals every time if you can.
            3. Hit over 50% of your goals every time if you can.
            4. Work on your attributes.

Catch my drift? This is the quickest way to move up.

Of course, you can fail your goals twice in a row without it hurting your advancement, but do not do it 3 times. So if you want, hit your goals, then work on attributes for the next two periods disregarding goals, then make sure to hit them again. Hitting your goals constantly gets you noticed by the org and helps you advance in my opinion.

When you start out, if you hit your goals for the first two periods or so, you can ask the manager for more playing time if you haven't become a full time starter by then, and he will make it happen most of the time.

Just a couple of hints from a long-time RTTS player. I've never spent more than one year at any level following this path.

Do your goals then spend whatever points you have left over on your other attributes and just pwn the minors. Getcha there fast-enough xD
