But seriously, what's the deal with never-ever-ever getting a throw to home from the outfield that isn't up the line about 10 feet?

This was something that was worked on this year, noticed it right away at the community event. Are there still some up the line, sure, but for the most part I'm seeing them reasonably around the plate.Comment

I get plenty of throws right around the plate.
Man it just seems like everything is always black and white with this game, it is or it isn't. I don't experience 90% of the "issues" I read about here.Comment

Yes, when the guy from 3rd doesn't run, you'd be amazed how accurate they suddenly become. Occasionally, I can get the ball home and beat the runner by 6 feet or so, but on the few occasions that happens, the catcher still won't get the tag down, and of course, it goes into an animation, so I have no control over it. I've been maybe 50 feet into the OF and had my LF throw it closer to 1st than home. You basically have to use the cutoff man no matter who is in left, and the cutoff guy takes forever. If this was 'worked on' they need to work on it a lot more.Comment

DO NOT fill up the throw meter all the way. Trust me, I too never was seeing throws near home from the outfield, but lay off the throw meter a tad and they are way better.
I now have thrown out multiple guys where as when I was filling the meter to max never did and the throws were always towards first.Comment

I have only had this game for about three weeks and I have had some throws be right on target at home, but 95% of the time they are 20 feet up the first baseline.Comment

I nodded my head the second I saw the thread title.
I see WAY too many throws that are (always) up the first base line about 20 feet, both by me and the CPU.
I have played probably 100 games this year, and I am shocked when a throw from the outfield is actually on target. I don't expect it anymore, which is too bad.[Insert clever, personally-relevant, or cutting-edge remark, data, link, or picture]Comment
