My only request for MLB 11
My only wish for 11 on top of what they have done in 10 is I hope when a pitcher takes a liner off the temple he at least acts like he has suffered an injury.Tags: None -
Re: My only request for MLB 11
We've never had ball/fielder collision in the game. They put it in. I think most gamers do not look at this a a "game killer".
Many times the animation/contact is okay.
They now need to tweak it so that, perhaps, a ball of a certain part of the body results in a certain injury, however that might also mean your star pitcher is done for the year. But that might turn into a game killer too, lol.Comment

Re: My only request for MLB 11
The amount of lines I've hit off the pitcher is incredibly high. I can't tell you how many times I have a man on 2nd or 3rd with two out and I hit a rocket off the pitchers leg that he somehow immediately grabs without a flinch and throws me out like 10 steps from first.Comment

Re: My only request for MLB 11
i hope your kidding. i agree that the ball off the pitcher happens to much, but it certainly isnt a game killer for me. it doesnt bother me at all and can make fielding interesting around the IF.
one thing i think should be fixed more than this is the cpu pick off attempts. I turn the slider for pickoffs down and while they dont pick off as much, they seem to always pick off when i lead off 1 step and they always seem to get me out cause my runner wont go back.
What bugs me most about this is that i have no control over this. i wish i was at least in control of making my player move back on a pickoff move. But this is the cpu doing thisComment

Re: My only request for MLB 11
Rain delays are lame and I don't want to sound like I'm griping this is probably one of the top sports titles I've ever played.
That being said when the game is on the line and I have men in scoring position and the pitcher takes a lined shot off of the shin he should go down be replaced then have to go on the DL after the game. If my pitcher takes one between the eyes I definitely understand that he's done for the year.
I just don't understand why this doesn't get fixed and much smaller issues (limestone at Target field) are addressed. Unless of course it's unpatchable.Comment

I'd rather the ball have zero collision detection then watch the ball bounce off a pitchers head then watch him pick the ball up and throw me out at first.Cosmetic Guides to the Show v2 Rosters

Re: My only request for MLB 11
Tried to explain it. They FINALLY put batted ball/collision with the pitcher in the game after a couple of years of griping about balls going THROUGH the player. You think these guys, with the way they've responded to almost every request we've made, that they don't want everything working perfectly.
It's pretty easy to understand why a smaller issue gets fixed. It's a matter of coding different parts of the body to have a reasonable response. It's a matter of getting the AI to respond to the coding. Put it in a wishlist, but I'm thinking SCEA already has this on their radar for next year.
Isn't it great that this collision finally made it into the game? Can you look at it that way?Comment

Re: My only request for MLB 11
rain delays may sound lame for obvious reason, but they are in fact a part of baseball and also a strategic part of the game. If you have a 2 hour rain delay you would be forced to use a new pitcher which makes things somewhat strategic when planning your BP. Sure its not strategy like playing NL Small ball, but its still makes thing interesting.
plus its a part of the gameComment

Re: My only request for MLB 11
See but that's the thing. If you had a 2 hour rain delay, would you actually have to put in a new pitcher or would it just be a cosmetic effect? And how aggravating would it be to have to start over a game that you just started because of rain. It could be nice, but it could just as easily suck, and we may be better off not knowing.rain delays may sound lame for obvious reason, but they are in fact a part of baseball and also a strategic part of the game.
