How do you manually injure players in franchise?

I used the "search" feature and found this a few days ago, but anyways
you have to set injuries to manual and then go to the disabled list and hit "R1" and it will bring you to your roster and from there you can set injuries

This is driving me crazy. I have the injury settings to manual. I go to the Disabled List screen, I can cycle through the teams, but when I hit R1, nothing happens. It doesn't take me to a new screen. Please help!

Your problem is that the profile with injuries set to MANUAL is not set as the DEFAULT profile.

Got to OPTIONS(from the front end...the OPTIONS section)....and then USER SETTINGS
It will say which is your current default on the bottom. Make sure the profile that is set as the default indeed has INJURIES set to MANUAL(not ON...) That is found in the GAMEPLAY OPTIONS section where the INJURIES option is.

If you've got Roster Control on, you won't be able to injure players. It disables injuries.

I think they're are some versions of the game that the manual injuring thing does not work. I can't do anything to get it to work and i've tried everything people have said.

I think they're are some versions of the game that the manual injuring thing does not work. I can't do anything to get it to work and i've tried everything people have said.

Now that we can save and share(we can right?) franchise file saves....one of you guys send me the franchise file save that you're having the problem with.
I doubt it's one game having a problem and the others not. Something has to be set incorrectly.

I just lowered all his abilities to 0. It's up to Tampa Bay to figure out what to do next.

May sound stupid to some, but make sure you are changing "injuries" to manual and not just "injury management" It took me a minute to get that lol.
