Need a left handed starter
Playing with the Braves Kawakami is not cutting it. I need a decent left hander to fit somewhere in my rotation. John Lester and David Price are on the trade block i would like Lester but will have to give up too much. Price is ok but i practiced with him and didnt like him too much. What are some lefties you have pitched with and liked?Tags: None -

Derek Holland is really good. Jamie Moyer is good, but I doubt you wanna trade in division. I think John Danks would be a really good fit, but overall I say you go after Randy Wolf. He has an excellent curveball and a 90 mph fastball. He is at a great price too.Playing with the Braves Kawakami is not cutting it. I need a decent left hander to fit somewhere in my rotation. Re: Need a left handed starter
I agree that Jamie Moyer is a good option. But, as has been stated, you probably shouldn't be trading within your division. Eric Bedard from Seattle could be a possibility. Is there any specific type of pitcher you are looking for (i.e. hard-throwing, sinkerballer, etc.)?Comment

While they dont use the actual dollar amounts im sure the contract price in game would be relative. plus, im sure if it was only for a year or two there would be a decent lefty in the farm to use after a couple more yearsHOOK UM HORNS!!!!!Comment

Re: Need a left handed starter
Bedard would be a perfect fit, I'm guessing. He's on a one year deal, isn't too bad in the game, and the Mariners are terrible in the Show, so they're likely out of contention and would take a few prospects over losing Bedard to free agency.I agree that Jamie Moyer is a good option. Re: Need a left handed starter
If you want young, look no further than the A's. Brett Anderson is amazing, but I doubt you can get him unless the A's are deep in contention, and even still doubtful. That leaves you with Dallas Braden, who is very difficult to pitch with but great when you figure it out; Gio Gonzales, a pure strike out pitcher that is rated pretty low but with A potential; and Josh Outman, a strike out and ground out pitcher who performed for me well above his level. Any of those three should be pretty easy to pick up, are young and cheap, and should be great additions to any rotation.Comment

I would take a good look at Jaime Garcia from the Cardinals or Brian Matusz for the O's. Both would come cheap and are only going to get better and be dominate in their career, esp Garcia. He will make a immediate impact for your team. What's with this chick? Does she have beer flavored nipples?Comment
