    First Ever Walk Off!

Well, i just got my first ever walk off.
It was a homerun by Jonny Gomes.
It has a good story to it too,i was down by 7 runs in the fourth inning,I came back to win it.
I was getting so mad when i was down by alot early, but see thats why you play the game.

Id like to hear anybodies walk off history,so share!!!!!!

    Re: First Ever Walk Off!

I had just gotten called up to the Angels with my center fielder RTTS player. It was my first at bat in the bottom of the 11th. I came in at the bottom of the 9th as a pinch runner. I had just made a great grab to end the top half and was leading off. The announcer said that I should swing at the first pitch because it would be the only time ever to get a home run off my first pitch and so I swung. It looked like fastball low but I was trying to go big anyway and it bounced off the bat so nice that the outfielders didn't even move. I watched the replay like 5 times as the reactions from everyone was fun to see. The pitcher knew it too as he didn't even watch the ball leave the yard before he was walking off the mound.

My first RTTS walk off was against the Rockies in the WS in my rookie year. I hit a walk off 3 run home run blast to deep LF over the monster. I literally jumped out of my seat.

No walk-offs in my current franchise yet. 4 games ago, I saw my first AGAINST me.

Get this...two games later, The Mets walked off on me again!

Okay, now I think all of this being on the wrong side of this is over...

This morning...I rally back to take a 10-8 lead on the Twins...

They walk off on me in the bottom half of the ninth! That's three now, all in the last 4 games.

ive hit a few walk offs. most memorable was with chipper jones in back to back games. both games, 1-1 in the bottom of the 9th and both games, chipper hitting the winner.

I hit a walkoff in a one game playoff against the Giants. This wasn't my first walk off but a couple innings earlier, I got my first diving catch to end the inning with a runner in scoring position. I really thought I was gonna miss the playoffs that year whcich would have been the first time in my franchise. Instead, the walkoff HR started a hot streak that didn't stop until I swept the Yankees in the World Series.

                    Re: First Ever Walk Off!

I just had a great walk off that I am actually shaking from because it was just so unexpected. I was the white sox vs the red sox in exhibition game just to play around a bit. I had Buehrle on the mound and he gave up 6 in the first to really put us behind for most of the game. I almost pulled him in the 1st but let him keep pitching. They had Beckett who gave up 2 in the first to us off an error and then an RBI single. I had just pulled Buehrle in the 3rd and put up Randy Williams who pitched just lights out for 4.1 innings for me. Beckett gave up 4 in the 6th to tie it up off a home run. I put Jenks in for the 9th and he stayed till the 11th. I put in Matt Thornton who kept it tied going into the bottom half of the 12th. Paul Konerko was doing horrible all game long with 3 strike outs and a fly out. 2 outs and it is looking like a 13th inning is coming when on an 0-1 fastball comes in and Konerko bloops it over the fence as even the announcers where cheering for it to go over. After giving up 6 in the 1st I felt I was done but coming back in the 12th with the barely walkoff was just great.

                        That's a low blow.

Nonetheless, yes, I have won a game on a walk. I have never lost on a walk. If I get into a 3-ball count with the bases loaded in that situation as the defensive team, I'd make them hit it.

Do they celebrate the walk off walks ?

After making a comeback against Mariano Rivera in the 9th during a Subway Series game, Jeff Francoeur belt one to left field to lead off the 10th. Best comeback victory in Subway Series history! *video game-wise*
