    Opening Day (The Show)

    Decided to post this here as well...


    What are your plans for The Show's Opening Day?

    - Exhibition games?
    - Testing out the new Analog controls?
    - Firing up a Franchise or RTTS?
    - Online/Co-op?

    So, let's hear it!

    For me, I'll be jumping into Co-op & Challenge Of The Week - it'll help pass the time while Knight & Co. work their magic on the roster set.

      First, I'll do an exibition game at Busch Stadium and look at all the non changes they did to it. (Just like I do every year.)

      Then I don't know.

      I actually had a dream where Busch Stadium was downgraded and all the graphics looked like they were from MLB 2000. Bad, bad dream.

          Definitely gonna play some exhibition games until I get used to the new controls and then do some Challenge of the Week until all the rosters are ready to go.

          I can't wait!

                      I am taking 2 days off from work the day it comes out and the day after, and I will be playing as many exhibition game as I can.

                      I will probably sim some seasons of franchise to see the stats and things.
                      BCS Express - TCU (yr 1 12-1)(yr 2 10-2)

                      OsVets 1 - Texans
                      OSVets 2 - Raiders (9-7 afc west champs)
                      4th & 1 - 49ers

                      LOEG - Pittsburgh Penguins (11-8-4)

                          I'm gonna be testing the new analog control schemes to see which ones I like, practicing, and just plain play the hell out of the game. March 8th... HURRY UP!

                              Well if we dont get a demo before hand, I'll be working on the analog controlls, take some BP and some challenge of the week. Franchise is'nt gonna start until the start of the real MLB season or even maybe short there after. I am also gonna be waiting on Knights rosters and some updated sounds of the show.

                                      I'll first put some music in, then batting practice, then either an exibition game or a Spring Training game.

                                              Just like every year, I will do a exhibition game. Braves vs Phillies. Night game. Try to hit a home run and see if the fire works come out of the coke bottle like they should. Look at all the rookies and see how realistic they are. Braves gotta lot this year. Then I will start a SP RTTS, then a SS AND A CF. Before I really get started in rtts. I will try out online, cotw, and maybe start or join a league. I really hope online is good this year. Last thing I'll do is try out the move control in home run derby. CANT WAIT!!

                                                  I will probably jump into franchise and play some spring training games then sim a season to see what stats look like. With the pitching sliders affecting sim games now I will test these with a few season sims to get relief pitcher appearances where they need to be while i wait for Knights rosters to start a franchise.

                                                      I'll start with some BP to try out the analog hitting (as that's the one I see being the biggest challenge) then I'll play some exhibition games to get a feel for the rest of the analog controls and finally start up a couple RTTS's (one as a pitcher and one as a fielder/hitter) as I wait for rosters.

                                                          I'll be firing up RTTS as usual. Really the only game mode I play until the MLB season starts and the roster sets are done. I swear every year my anticipation for this game is about a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10
