Plate Coverage Indicator ( PCI )

been playing around with the pci, when changing from allstar to hall of fame I do not notice any difference in the size of the yellow circle, is this correct ? I thought the pci was supposed to simulate the bat thus you would expect the pci to get smaller when uping the difficulity.
Also how come I can make contact with the ball when my pci is no where near it ? Eg: I had the pci at the bottom of the strike zone and the pitch was high thus when I swang the bat I hit the ball. You would think this should result in a whiff ???

Can someone shed some light on this ?

It has been reworked in the Show 11 and is going to work like you described.

          It's not broken...

It works exactly how the developers intended it to. It's just not essential to move it around, even on higher difficulties. Though, on HOF and Legend, moving the PCI will result in better contact/power. It's just not needed.

The PCI in 10 is not True Zone Hitting. It's more like a batters eye. This is why you can 'miss' the ball and still make contact.

It wasn't changed in 11' because of an admission of a 'broken' hitting system. It was certainly more likely a result of popular demand, and the desire of SCEA to continue to improve upon their hitting engine.

Basically, I'm saying, whichever method gives you the results you like, go with that one. Both are fine.
