Re: Video Tutorial for Pure Analog Hitting?
Thank god!!! Everyone and their mother seems to be having trouble with the hitting.
I know that I personally feel that some guys have a longer load up so it's more difficult to time the ball since everyone seems to be different.FTP=PTFComment

Re: Video Tutorial for Pure Analog Hitting?
I just don't know if I'm supposed to use the left stick for swing height and the right stick for left and right plate coverage. And how do you influence a ball to right or left field? Looking forward to the video. Thanks for the update Russell!Comment

Re: Video Tutorial for Pure Analog Hitting?
The left stick is not used at all for analog hitting. Swing influence is initiated by holding R2 and pressing the R-analog in the direction you want to influence.Comment

In the controls section of the menu it says it's the left stick and R2, I don't know if you guys figured this out yet or if anyone else on here has said it yet.Comment

Re: Video Tutorial for Pure Analog Hitting?
We can turn of the analog controls, correct? I can't hit the ball for the life of me and I've spent a good amount of time on the demo. I just can't seem to make good contact even when I'm using someone with a high contact attribute. It's just never happens.I'd like to talk to you about a serious problem. Oh that's right this game works with the playstation move thing. I'm going to work on this analog thing till the game comes out and I should be up to par. It's entertaining at the least.
I might, however, not want to use analog with my RTTS as it's frustrating enough the first few years with low attributes.

Re: Video Tutorial for Pure Analog Hitting?
Wait, I was with the understanding that the left stick coincides with the PCI? Is that right, or wrong? Or that doesn't matter this year as u are swinging the right stick towards the left or right? Man, seems like so many presets this year! Preset the influence with the right stick, preset the contact, power, or regular. Thanks much. LaterComment

No the left stick does nothing, only if you hit r2 before hand to guess pitch location. The PCI doesn't do anything either in analog hitting, you don't move it. It does get bigger and mover by itself if you guess pitch type and pitch location correctly.
My problem is swinging at bad pitches and when i do make contact i ground outComment

Re: Video Tutorial for Pure Analog Hitting?
I am having a very hard time hitting. My biggest problem is pulling back and pushing up in a straight line! I always go to the left.... or try to pull stuff.
I get a good count and then see a money pitch and I always hold in to try and pull it out of the park... having a hard time adjusting.Mariners Seahawks Sonics UW Sounders

Who is your favorite player to watch hit singles, doubles, and when you get in a groove homeruns?I am having a very hard time hitting. My biggest problem is pulling back and pushing up in a straight line! I always go to the left.... or try to pull stuff.

For the first at bat visualize what a perfect stride looks like when taking the pitch where in the zone it has to be , take a piece of paper and draw your strike zone where you are making contact hard that is your natural swing once you have a baseline you can then move it inside to cover more area, at first find your favorite pitch out over the plate sense that is where 75% of pitches are thrown.
Remember also pitchers will throw more down the middle to little guys to see if they stay within themselves if they don't its usually a good contact but to the middle part of the ballpark in the air where the pitcher knows no damage will be done, once you start hitting low line rockets again they have to adjust thats when teh little guy gets the down and in fastball but because of good at-bats uses his hands to drive the ball out down the lineComment
