I think my MVP 2005 blues are over

I always felt MVP 2005 was the pinnacle of baseball games, and as a former player of the other game, and with brief stints with the Show 08, and 10, I always hoped a new game would come along to no longer miss MVP. I enjoyed MLB 10 very much, but being a veteran of analog controls through the years, buttons just totally bored me. But with all this years additions this may finally be the year in which I have a new fav baseball game.

Couldnt have said it better myself. I was kinda over MVP last year, now it's officially old news.

Analog controls put it over the hump for me. Pitching is actually fun now, and hitting is much deeper, fielding seems to have a purpose.

Yeah this years fielding feels great, other years have felt too automatic.

I was over MVP when MLB 08 The Show came out. That the game that really sold me. I played MLB 06, and MLB 06 The Show, as well as MLB 07 The Show all on the PS2 and enjoyed them. But when I bought a PS3 in 08 and bought MLB 08 The Show along with MGS4 I was completely floored and MVP was forgotten.

The franchise/rtts glitch killed it for me.

            I disagree.

I'm having a lot of fun with the new Show, but I still think the fielding feels automatic - especially compared to MVP 2005. Hopefully it grows on me, but it doesn't feel as fluid as MVP. Everything else has been pretty great.

I can say for me this is as close as theyve come so far to making the game as challenging and fun as MVP 2005.

Only thing I miss from MVP 05 is the ball color of the incoming pitch. It made hitting so much easier. I thought that was a genius addition that I don't see in any current games for years now. I used to crush Barry Zito because I could pick up the ball color in his hand with that delivery of his.
