Hitting and your TV

My game mode is always on (Black ops). I turned it off for a game and went 0-5, I want those 5 at bats back sir!

Game Mode should always be turned on when dealing with gaming on LCD tv's

SOme have been input lag then others but for the best experience using game mode will reduce the lag and help in timing based games

If you have the ability to tweak the settings in game mode, then lower the sharpeness to 0 to remove the jaggies and put dynamic contrast to off

Nobody advised you to turn it off....

More OT, I don't think the delay has anything to do with how old a TV is. It's more of a reflection on how cheap it is. Some lower tier models for base brands like Sharp and Vizio don't even have game modes to turn on.

Input lag has nothing to do with the type of tv you have.

The better the tv the chances are the more input lag. Input lag is caused by the amount of processing that the hdtv has to do in order to get the pq to look as good as it does today.

This causes the delay between button response and on screen display.

Turning game mode on disables all of these processing factors and allows for a quicker response but you might lose some pq

Turned on game mode and whadda know I can HIT AGAIN! Thanks so much for this suggestion I was tearing my hair out yesterday. I was shut out three games in a row by the cpu.

SO far through 2 innings I have two homeruns and 1 from the pitcher!!!

Man I have a new samsung flat screen 50" I really want to know how to put it into game mode

For most TVs it's in the setup menu or the advanced picture settings.

For Samsungs i think its under setup.

Probably go into menu mode on the remote and you should see picture settings.
