Anyone else having baserunning Issues?

Man I'm having some major baserunning issues if anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it...

First, in two of the games I've played today I had men on first and 3rd and pressed L2+O to send my man on first on an individual steal and both times the computer sent my man at third home also...isn't individual steal L2+base icon???WTF

And as I posted in the bugs discussion thread...

3 times in one game I was thrown out at second base from the outfield because the man on first froze 5 yards from the first base bag (like a player would to see if a pop up got caught or not with less than 2 outs)... Only problem is one was a line drive up the middle and 2 were ground balls that made it out of the infield...ALL 3 HAPPENED ON 2 OUTS

Can anyone help me out? I'm using analog hitting I'm not touching anyother buttons...do I have to hit L1 like right after I hit a ball no matter what??

To steal bases it's L2 + Left Analog Stick to select the runner. So for example if you only want the runner on first to steal, you point your left analog stick to the right and press L2.

As for the baserunning, the runners will advance 1 base on their own, after that it's up to you. If you do notice that they freeze, hit L1 quickly to get them moving, like sometimes you know a ball is going to fall for a hit, but if it's relatively close, the baserunner will hold up before advancing, in these situations you gotta take over.
