    getting promoted in RTTS

over 313 AB's with my RTTS player my stats are

    .387 avg 23 HR's 82 RBI's 1.152 OPS over 313 AB's.

I'm still in AA. No promotion. it's getting tiring when they keep telling me they don't have a spot open even though I'm ready. i recently got traded from the a's to the phillies and I'm a 1st baseman. being behind ryan howard is one thing but they won't even move me to AAA. i've been with them for about a month now.

i requested a position change, no luck either. anyone have any suggestions?

i know someone will ask how I put up such awesome stats. i play on all-star hitting difficulty, zone hitting.

I got bad news my friend. I ripped up the minors for TWO WHOLE YEARS before I got my shot. But once I move up it was to stay. If you want my advice use the time to hone your skills! TRUST ME! Once you move up, you will MISS AAA REALLY BAD at first!
I have not heard of anyone getting moved up to MLB before 2 years yet, unless it was on an injury. Just be patient

It goes by stats AND ratings.

Consider that rating in the 60s are considered "F Level".

There's no way that you don;t have multiple ratings still in the 40s, which is the game is going to consider "Gawd awful".

My guy was having a "player of the year" season before an ACL injury put him out for the year. The end of the year review talked about him as if he was the trashiest player around.

I agree with the poster above, use the AA to increase your ratings as much as possible, otherwise the game will continue to view the player as being "not that good" even if the stats are very good.

End of season one I got moved up to AAA, league leader and all-star. Spent 2nd season in AAA, got starting job in the show in spring training year 3. Keep at it, you'll get the call

does it usually take 2 years cuz i really want to work on my attributes before i get to the Show, so i can be successful right away and hopefully win ROY.

          want to have:

          30-40 HR
          100+ RBI
          and a Gold Glove

I created my 1B with great strength so I have major power. I also slided my ratings to having a better glove rather then big arm.

So basically my speed sucks, my fielding ratings are good, but my arm strength sucks. I guess I should improve those more often.

I'm just kind of concerned about Ryan Howard being the Phils 1st baseman. I requested a position change to LF. They said they need me at 1B.

Perhaps they are planning on moving Howard(trade)?
I don't know if the A.I. is thinking like that...but... maybe!

Here's my suggestion-only play your ABs but play all the games. It'll take 3-5 minutes per game to do that and you'll get a lot more points. No reasons to turn on baserunning if you're slow and have bad ratings at baserunning. Also, I seemed to get more points if I didn't control fielding. I'd also put points into Discipline-that determines how well you do when the Game AI plays for you(simming).

sounds good, i really dont do myself any good with baserunning, i just make mistakes like taking my eyes off my TV then i end up getting picked off.

any good swings you can suggest, right now im using Hamilton, ive tried Cody Ransom, and Brandon Wood(used in 2K). i like a good foot-tap for timing purposes and my bat moving above my shoulder.

My guy is dominating AA. Easily the best AA pitcher, has over 100k more votes than next guy for all star game and overall wise he's 3rd best pitcher in the entire jays roster.

Don't see how I'm not getting promoted yet, but if I were on any other team, I'd request a trade lol.

Will be interesting to see if I can manage to keep this guy on the Jays his whole career, will be interesting to see how much I turn down to stay with the hometown team.

I always make it into the majors in year 3 (No matter how good I do).

I only made it to the majors in my first year once, I wasn't sure why but most likely injury and performance in the minors.

I got called up in year one due to an injury, then the Cubs got rid of Starlin Castro and kept me in the majors. I'm literally BEGGING to be sent back down to AAA to get some attributes up, i'm being torn up to the tune of a .160 average and striking out 30% of my at bats...be careful what you ask for i guess lol

I had an ERA in the low 2's, absolutely dominated AA from the start, made the ASG, but didn't get called up to AAA until August and didn't spend much time there. The Blue Jays purchased my contract right when the minor league season ended. Made a few relief appearances, and then was offered a contract to be in the AAA rotation. Apparently, I had a really good spring the following year and I made it into the MLB bullpen at 19. You just have to be patient and they WILL call you up. I'm pretty sure, though, that they took out the option to request a call up. My whole time at AA, I never saw the option.

I actually started season one in AAA for some reason I am battin .389 with 1 HR and 12 RBI's in 40 ABs but if you want to get on the fast track be a first baseman for the Giants. AAA right away!!

                              Re: getting promoted in RTTS

I started as a pitcher got my 1st AA start on 6/6/2011 and was called up to AAA on 7/12/2011. I wish I never did because AAA hitting is killing me. I made a weeks worth of relief appearances and had a 11.57 ERA and they stick me in the AAA rotation. I got my ERA down to 9 something, but I much rather be in AA getting quality starts so I can improve. My lord my fastball is the only decent pitch with 70's ratings and all my major pitching ratings are still in the 50's and 60's. I am turrible,

I am playing for the Orioles and haven't been traded just 1 week left before the trade deadline. 1st time I ever made it past AA and 1st time I don't think I will be traded at least once the 1st year. Having a blast otherwise.
