Roster Control

How do I switch a team to manual control? I go in and make changes but it still shows it under cpu roster control.

The problem is when I exit the screen it won't let me keep the changes I make.

Do you guys know what I'm doing wrong? please help!

You have to choose those teams when you first start your franchise.

I'm not in franchise tho...I'm just talking about in exhibition.

Btw...are you the guy that comes out with the rosters around opening day every year? Are you doing that again? If so, when and what will they be called??

Oh...for exhibition..I think you'd need two controllers OR make a base roster using the ROSTER CONTROL section on the front end...with the lineups you want...LOAD that roster before you play an exhibition game and that's the one that will be used in game I believe.

Negative....not from the lineup screen.
25 man roster is used....and the one available to you.
You could play the AAA team though.

ok, but I'm not trying to do that from the lineup screen. I'm trying to change the roster from the roster control screen. It lets me make changes, but then it won't let me save them. It just doesn't seem quite right...

Hey Knight,
do you change the players attributes or ratings for your roster? Mainly I'm inquiring about the MLB roster of each team that came already with the game. I'm with the Twins and I noticed you changed Cuddyer's batting stance...I think it looks cool.

Everything else on the Twins looks good so far! Again, just wondering if you leave the ratings, attributes, etc. exactly as they were with the original game.

Is is telling you your roster is invalid? You have to make sure your rosters are 100% valid or it won't let you back out of Roster Control. A lot of times when it seems as though you can't make moves, it's due to the 40 man roster being inaccurate. Make sure when you call a guy up, you send one down in his spot and then REMOVE that player from the 40-man if necessary so that you don't have over 40 men on your active roster.

Also note that if you swap players up and down that each level needs to have no more than 25 men (15 max in single A). Look for any checked boxes in the roster control section for all the teams. If any boxes are checked (i.e. lineups, rotation, roster, etc), that means there is something that needs to be fixed in that particular area. Check it and make the necessary moves to fix the discrepancy, and if the box unchecks, you're good to go.

Once you get that part accurate (no checked boxes in the roster control for any teams) simply back out of roster control and save your rosters. You should be good to go. Hope that helps.
