I only use power when I'm behind or desperate.

I raised my power slider 2 clicks (I think) so big guys get their HR's with no power swing and regular guys still get one here and there while using regular swing.

Re: Power Swing

The normal counts like mentioned before.

I have hit a couple hr's with it, but there are always like barely over the fence.

Re: Power Swing

I started using the power swing about 75% of the time lately and my HRs and avg are up quite a bit. I've hit some absolute BOMBS with it. I've certainly noticed a difference in distance.

I'll quote myself and say this isn't true...

Its more like

95% Normal
2.5% contact
2.5% power

Re: Power Swing

68% Normal
31.3% Contact
0.7 % Power

...totally random percentages and prolly off, but i use contact close to half the time, and very rarely use power...

Re: Power Swing

NO! Power swing is terrible. It takes balls down the middle of the plate, and makes them pop-up. Normal swing gets it done, and I almost never use contact swing.

I use contact swing whenever I am down in the count 0-2 or 1-2. In this situation I try to protect the plate by swinging at anything close and contact swing helps me make contact and foul balls off. I would recommend using it in those counts.
