    I thought this was changed....

I thought I heard Russell say that RTTS was changed and your playing time is not based on your performance rather the stupid goals? I knew it sound too good to be true that's why I waiting this long to start RTTS. Demoted from AAA because I didn't put points in Plate Discipline even though I'm hitting .480 20hrs and 60 RBIs. I'm very disappointed.

It's a mix. Not solely on either any longer.

It's not a mix Knight you have to do those stupid goals. As realistic as this game is how could they come up with something so freaking stupid. The only factor that you should worry about when trying to get to majors is your performance. ... And why the hell would I put points in plate discipline when I control the batter? Have that at 99 is not going to help me lay off high fastballs. Plus if you create a closer and you only get to pitch every few days but the little points you get why waste them on goals rather building a pitcher that YOU want. I followed a goals last year with a closer and I ended up with 99 fielding but my fastball couldn't go over 85mph. I just don't get it.

I don't really see the problem. Do well in the game, and then put those points toward those goals.

Re: I thought this was changed....

I agree. Also, some of the goals are rediculous. It wants my 1b to work on his bunting. BUNTING! His power is 70, but they want him to bunt...

It always wants my closer to work on his stamina. Really? I can pitch 3 innings with a stamina of only 5 and only use 1/3-1/2 of my energy.

I love playing RTTS, but it is annoying at times. Like when I throw a slider that is 6" outside and 4" low only to have the batter hit it for a HR.

Exactly. The game doesn't ask you to put all your points in any given attribute, just some, I don't see the issue. And every attribute matters, plate discipline is still important for a human-controlled player.

What does plate discipline do with human controlled players?

I thought I heard that it was important in judging your check swings, whether or not you go around.
