MLB 12 Player Specific Animations Request

As always we value the community's input if you have any player specific routines, victory dances handshakes, etc.............. Please post them in the two threads below. However we aren't looking for batting stances and pitching motions that need to be changed. Just signature animations that you would like to see in the game.

Re: MLB 12 Player Specific Animations Request

First of all, Id like to commend you on the work you do with this game. Just off the top of my head, little things like the animations already in there really add a lot. For example, Im thinking of close plays at 1B where the baserunner starts lobbying for the call by signalling they were safe. Nicely done.

If you're talking about non-batting or throwing motion animations, I would say you could put in more animations for when releivers end the game. This could be Valverde's routine or something like when John Rocker would look to the crowd.

You could also put in an animation for some pronounced way they shake off signs (Im thinking Al Hrabosky).

You could put in an animation of a reliever hustling into the mound when summoned to the bullpen (like Heath Bell).

Another animation (I dont know if its technicall an animation) is to have some variety in the way shortstops (and other fielders but mainly SSs) throw. Some guys have side-armed throwing motions (like Tony Fernandez) and others are overhand.

1st thing that comes to mind is brain Wilson's fingers after a save game.

Not an animation but when Jose reyes steals a base or comes up to bat in city field we start the Jose Jose Jose ....... Sound until like the second pitch of the atbat.
This city needs a HERO not a guy in a costume......

Re: MLB 12 Player Specific Animations Request

There is something I am really tired of seeing. After a play is finished, the player I control in RTTS does a double fist into his glove (Not sure I have the right terms here). Really fed up with it. Some variety would be welcome.

I would like to see another dive animation for infield: if the ball is more close then far, the player could try to slide but still on his feet. Something similar, instead of always head first.

You need to rework all the catching throwing to second base. In my book, they slow the action so much, it's almost impossible to retire a stealing player. It negates this action in the game.

I would like to see 2 animations for outfielders that loose the ball in the sun or projectors.

I also found an issue in RTTS: When the manager says to a second base to go "OUT", you go backward...but it takes forever for the animation to end when the computer takes in. The GET IN and DOUBLE PLAY are fine, but the OUT is pretty bad.

I would like to throw a couple of suggestions into the mix:

The Dan Uggla Homerun forearm high five:

and the Chipper Jones HR celebration:

Also, Craig Kembrel has a pretty distinctive stance before he delivers his 98 mph fastball:

                        ------------------------------------------------------

Kimbrel also has a very energetic save celebration in big time saves:

Aj Burnett giving a pie in the face after a walk off win.
                          thats player specific, no?

tho i have a feeling that's not what you meant. thats more a cut scene thing, which i am hoping go the way of the dodo.

How about the Prince Fielder over the head hands wave after he gets a hit.

Whenever Michael Morse (1B/OF - Nationals) hits a HR, he hits the top of his helmet as he rounds the bases.

When Nick Swisher is at bat he ALWAYS looks up in the sky before every pitch to honor his grandparents.
