    Always late.

Is anyone else late on EVERYTHING. I hardly ever pull the ball. Maybe I need to lower pitch speed.

    lower pitch speed.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I have the same problem. Probably because I haven't played a baseball game of any kind since '09. My hitters eye has experienced a bit of atrophy it seems. Pretty realistic if you ask me.

I've got pitch speed down to 3 for now. I'm hitting just .220 (29th in the MLB) as a team on May 2nd. Ouch. My pitching has me 3 games over though, currently have a 3.50 team ERA (5th).

It could be the batting cam as well. I was using Offset 6 when I got the game, and I just couldn't pull inside pitches. The ball just gets on you too fast with the offset and wide cams for some reason, maybe even an issue with those views. I actually thought there was something wrong with the swing timing until I fiddled with the batting cams in practice mode, and I found catcher 8 and catcher 9 to be the best as I was able to pull inside fastballs when I was sitting on them.

It could also be input lag, I knew input lag wasn't my issue as I play on a SDTV.

Probably input lag on your TV.

My TV only eliminates input lag if I have the PS3 on the PoP side.

              I would recommend changing cameras.

I've tried lowering the speed and i actually think it's harder to time when the pitch speed is down. Raised it back up and am finally getting the right amount of hits. To bad my cubbies are 5-20

Great point, I lowered it and I was out in front on everything.

Yeah, you gotta find a balance on Pitch Speed, I think.

If you go too low, a 73 MPH slow curve becomes ... awfully sssslllllllooooowwww.

Lowering the pitch speed 1 notch should help. Anything more than that throws you off

What about timing? Wouldn't chaning this help to not be "late" on swings?

Also, if you lower pitch speed won't that mess up stealing (it would become even easier to steal bases).

Timing increases the amount of frames you have to make contact and make good contact, but increasing timing is not going to make you pull pitches when you are hitting them the other way. Pitch speed affects stealing but not in a major way; you should be concerned getting hitting right first as the game would be unplayable for me if I couldn't pull inside pitches. I really didn't like 08 much because of the horrible swing timing, inside pitches were hit the other way and outside pitches were pulled, it just wasn't baseball IMO. I'm going to have to guess that you are experiencing input lag, try testing the game out on a different TV (preferably a SDTV), also try setting your TV to game mode if that's an option.

I *never* used to be late on a pitch, unless it was in the high-90s. Since the patch, I can't turn on a 91 mph fastball. Anyone feel the same way? I thought they made analog hitting "easier", not broken.
