Huge Problem

I don't know if anyone is/has experienced this but:

I had the game since it was released, played fine. A couple days ago I was playing RTTS. The game was completely updated to the last patch. All of a sudden, with the same game save I loaded it up, and when I started the game our team, the Seattle Mariners, was wearing the uniforms of the San Diego Padres. We were at home...I thought it was just a glitch. I played other games and in games when we wore the basic home uniform it was the Padres. Then the announcers stopped working, PA system was off too. I thought it was my game disc, but there's no damage. Cleaned it, played an exhibition game and the same problem happened, only this time the away team wore Padres unis.

I dunno what to do. I rebuilt the PS3 System. I deleted and installed MLB 11 on my system twice now, once without the new patch and again with the new patch...same problem

This is the only game that I am having problems with.

Isn't the company that makes this game based in San Diego? I find this very ironic...

It is technically possible that your PS3 is faulty and loaded incorrect portions of a disk, but the chances of this happening - and only leading to minor bugs and not freezing/skipping etc - are extremely remote. You have a better chance of making the game winning shot in tonight's NBA conference game, after being struck by lightning.
If you really took all those steps and still see the problem, then it is almost certainly a universal problem. Nothing you can do but report the bug and hope it's addressed eventually.
