How to stop fake throws

Im having an issue at least once a game. Im using the buttons, not analog for fielding. At least once a game i'll get a ground ball, get set to throw and all of a sudden the fielder pulls his arm back and doesnt throw the ball allowing for the batter to reach base. I'll even try to throw to the base after the fake throw and the fielder does any other fake throw.

Can anyone tell me if they have this problem or what im doing wrong???

The easiest solution would be to turn off the Throw Cancelling option (in Gameplay options).

It sounds like you are pressing the throw button a second time inadvertently, which cancels the throw. If you were to press the button associated with a different base, the fielder would actually double clutch the throw and then fire to the base associated with the second button you pressed.

Try to pay attention to see if that is what is happening. I would hate for you to disable a useful feature when you may be able to adjust the way you press/hold/release the button so that it doesn't occur accidentally.

I've had it happen to me using analog a few times, when I thought the game may not have registered my throw, so I would do it a second time, only to have the player hold on to the ball instead of making the throw.

Most likely.

I was doing this constantly because your brain tells your hand to press the button, but then your eyes tell your brain "not yet" but it's too late, so you press it again once the fielder animation is 'ready' to throw, but then you cancel the throw.

Thanks guys, im probably pressing it twice. I will concentrate on pressing it once and see what happens
