New Uniforms!

There have been several changes to team's uniforms.

-Miami Marlins: I think we've all seen these changes.

Are all of these changes going to be in MLB 12 The Show?

None of those URLs work for me.

In any case, I obviously don't have the answer, but it's worth noting:

1. Uniforms can be updated in a patch.
2. That patch wouldn't require you to restart a franchise or anything like that.

So even if they don't make it in time for March, I can't imagine why the devs would make us wait until 2013 for them.

The Padres and Orioles also updated their unis, and the Braves are getting a new alt jersey.

Oh and the royals have 86d the powder blue caps

The good news about major uniform overhauls is that it usually forces the MLB Style Guide to update to the new look. How much stuff will be right/wrong in the style guide...that's another matter. :P

So I don't know what I'm going to do. I want to do a RTTS with Miami to play in that new stadium and play with Jose Reyes (Not Official Yet) Hanley Ramirez, Mike Stanton. But then again, that means I would have to wear those uniforms 160 times a year. I don't think I want to wear those things more than once!

Play with the Twins...just choose Miami as your stadium to play in every home game! Viola!

I dont play 2k, but I believe I read somewhere once that 2k doesnt have the same mistakes in uniforms as the show does. One thing I do know is this: in the show 09 and 10 they had the braves alternate road jersey paired with the wrong hat, something that was not a style guide issue. the navy jersey and and all navy hat debuted together, there was never any possibility that the sunday home hat was going to be worn with the navy road jersey. for two years SCEA blamed it on the style guide instead of just owning up to making the mistake and fixing it. If 2k doesnt have the exact same mistakes as the show then nothing can be blamed on a style guide, theres only one style guide for both companies to use, so if the style guide theory was true, then both games would have the exact same mistakes. as I said I dont play 2k so I dont know, but I do know there have been blatant mistakes made and the "gotta stick to the style guide" excuse was used instead of fixing them. of course not a big deal now that you can pick any combo of what you wanna wear (which seems like it would violate the style guide requirement, hmmmm), but just using it as a cop out to not fix some things is pretty bad.

I don't know why it's so hard for people to understand this: The contract with Major League Baseball says that BOTH GAMES have to follow the MLB Style Guide. Now, sometimes the games will make a mistake. There are also times where teams don't update the guide (biggest one being the Rangers not getting rid of their two toned helmets for years with people complaining about that.)

The style guide is what determines what products are sold with which logo, how teams are identified in the media, and all the way down to how they look in the game. It's not a cop-out, it's contract bound.
