Re: Never Disappoints

I'm usually pretty disappointed when I give up an opposite field HR on a fastball up and in.

I'm even kinda disappointed when I hit an opposite field HR on the same type of pitch, because it's just not very realistic. Takes some of the wind out of the sails.

Of course, but I don't see it often or if it does I take it with the many goods that preceded it.

The blast I gave up was not a fastball up and in and it didn't go opposite field. If I would have given this shot up on Christmas Eve, Norad would have had interference while tracking Santa, I'm tellin ya.

This right here. I hate this but to this games credit, I give up as many as I hit. I guess it evens out a little. Hopefully with the new ball physics you can't hit homers to the opposite field on inside pitches. In my opinion, if you go yard on an inside pitch, it should be from the pull-field (most likely) to straight away center (least likely).

One thing that was a little confusing to me in MLB 11 was the "normal" timing. Sometimes I'd hit those inside pitches out to the opposite field and think I got around on it, or at least enough to send it back up the middle. I almost felt like hitting a ball with "normal" timing meant the game would decide where it wanted the ball to go.

Re: Never Disappoints

tried those rosters today. A lot of the players have Jeter heads. Otherwise, they looked good.

Another examples of firsts...
Playing in my second season. I threw 10 strikeouts against the Reds bottom of the 9th. I k'd Er. Chavez looking, after the at bat. Matty V says, " here's a little montage of the 10K's". It show all 10 strike outs. I completed the feat b4 with Hanson and I did see this. Very cool presentation....
