Okay, I posted my sliders and settings in case you're interested.

I think you guys need to play around with difficulty. Pitching on HoF this does not happen nearly as much.

No idea what challenging level means, either lol. I think that if you mess with sliders it is very easy to play the game you want.

I play on Legend with all visual aids off.

I play on A/S and Legend and have no issues striking out batters.

I think you just need to spend more time trying out different approaches to striking out batters. You can have the AI chase breaking pitches and off-speed - you just have to know how to locate them.

The lack of user strikeouts when pitching is something I've never agreed with - I can get about 5 even on a bad outing.

I think to effectively pitch in this game you have to "think" like a pitcher. You can't constantly rip off curveballs low in the zone or throw running fastballs up and in on hitters. I have an idea of what hitters are looking for, and more importantly, what they aren't looking for and that is something to really consider when pitching in The Show. I take the extra second or two to allow the pitcher to set and throw his desired pitch. If you start quick pitching and just throwing the ball up there, the CPU is going to make you pay. I do think the CPU's hitting logic (when or when not to swing) is pretty consistant. If you make good pitches and can locate your fastball, you'll have success. Just remember that not every pitcher gets it done on any given day. There will be days where nothing works and you'll get shelled, but that's the beauty of baseball.

Totally agree, I've always had realistic results.
It's all about mixing up speed and location. Do this well and you can have Pujols swinging his bat like a garden hose at a curve in the dirt.
But if you'r a little sloppy and let it hang you will pay the price, man I love this game!

Fire up your game next chance you get and tell me how many k's you get with Blake Beavan, Ross Detwiler or the likes of Phil Humber. I dont have issues whiffing anyone with top tier pitching. My issue is that I want to come out and be unpredictable. I notice too many times that I get hitters in the hole and am ON, but cannot get k's for the life of me. I want variety and differentiation from game to game.

All I am saying is that if I have a pitcher who is on that day and has the slightest bit of propensity to whiff hitters than it should reflect in game.

I would love to hear your pitching lines of note with sub-par pitchers.
