Re: Mlb 12

I just don't know how ANYONE can say Ichiro is overrated. All those seasons on a horrible Mariners team. 10 straight seasons of over 200 hits, All-time single season hits leader at 266. (C'mon now, that's two hits a GAME). .300 plus batting average, 30 plus stolen bases, 10 straight Gold Gloves, an absolute cannon for an arm. He's a leadoff guy, getting on base is his primary job... hence the singles. He had ONE mediocre season in 2011. That's it. Sure-fire lock for the Hall of Fame. Period.

And he plays the game right, and has nothing but pure respect and honor for it.

Lots of "great players" now a days, that part can not be said about.

"The only reason I would like him on my team, at a cheaper price, is his fielding ability. With the bat give me a guy like Nick Swisher since he has more value." - Overrated__ichiro

Nick Swisher? Yeah, you can have him. I'll take Ichiro for 300, please.

Re: Mlb 12

There was a whopping total of one outfielder (Bonds) that had a higher WAR total for the past decade than Ichiro. Yep, overrated.

That's what I love most about Ichiro. He has more respect for the history and honor for MLB than most guys.
