My skills don't match my team - Help

I have been a long time The Show player, but my biggest weakness by far is hitting. The reason is usually tied to the pitch speed. I guess I am getting old because I have to turn down pitch speed a lot just to get a good game where I can get some walks. If not, I strike out way too much.

So guess who my favorite team is. The Seattle Mariners. The WORST HITTING TEAM OF THE PAST 50 years. Ugghh. They are not going to help my frustration levels.

Do you have a favorite team that does not match your skill level. Hate the big hitting teams (Yanks, Rangers, Angels) so I am going to have to suffer and try and build up my hitters.

Yup....my fav team is the A's and everybody knows what their weakness is...HITTING....im not that great of a hitter either....hence, i've been hittin the cages and doing all the practice drills ever since i purchased the game on Tuesday....not planning on playing live games till i feel like a sense of improvement...but unlike u, i NEVER play with my fav team so i won't have that problem...

I am a HUGE Giants fan...and 48 years old . I've never really been able to hit in the Show and with their current offense (or lack thereof) I really can't hit.

I did manage to finally finish a full season with the 2010 edition. This was AFTER my team finally won it all and I was committed to taking their final roster and seeing what I could do in the game. Yeah, my hitting was awful but I actually made the playoffs thanks to my beyond stellar pitching. I've always pitched well in the game so playing the Giants made it lights out. Lost in the first round, however, to the Mets.

I played close to 40 games recently with 2011 as the Yankees. I HATE the Yankees but wanted to see if I would hit any better. I actually managed a .260 average and a .315 obp. Trust me, that is Ted Williams like for me.

Try going with a "hitting team" for a few games and see how the CPU pitches to you. It really is different when they fear more than one or two of your hitters.
