Redeem Code PS3 - I live in Aus

Hi, I was wondering if someone can help me out.
I just bought my version of MLB 12 The Show, from Gamelane
I can play offline fine on my PS3, but I cannot access anything online, because my redeem code does not work.
Is it because the game was imported from the USA, and online features only
work with a US PSN account? This was the reason i got told when i rang PS earlier today.
I live in Australia.
Any help is much appreciated

You'd have to activate it on a US PSN account so you can play on your Australian PSN

Hello, I live in Italy and the same thing happened to me ... I also tried to create a American profile and put the code as it is written behind the book but the problem continues .... I'm asking around but no one answers me ....

I have two profiles with U.S. residency!
but still does not work always give me that problem ....

Create a US PSN acct as has been said, take an address of something off Google, a coffee shop, anything, then activate it on that account.

Then log out and back in to your Aus account and it will work fine.

Im in the UK and this workaround works fine for myself and lots of other UK based Show people.

I did that... but when I go to the American profile in the "redeem code" I put the code and says "You entered the code may not be correct or may no longer?? be valid. please check your entries"... if it does not make me download the online pass are not allowed in the profile...

I live in Aus as well and I can confirm what the others have said above as I have had to do it with NHL and The Show.

Simply create a US account with a US address and redeem the code but once you have done this you can play online with any account on your console. The one thing to be aware of though is that you will need to use the US store if you plan on buying DLC etc.

I know other Italians have done so .... but I do not pass on the download of online American Profile

12oGe12 bought a $ 20 PSN Card from this store in Melbourne, you reload the profile American and buy a new pass online... the code you send it by email....
