Which MLB The Show (on PS3) is the best? Excluding MLB 12 The show, unless its really that good.

MLB 12 by a mile. It's a better, more refined game at release than the previous versions were after their patch cycles.

The only reason I can figure OP is leaving out the new one is because he wants to buy an old one, which isn't useful since they shut down the servers (which I hate because I tend to use my sports games for 2 years before upgrading).

12 without a doubt. I'm also going to throw in Pulse Pitching along with the physics. I really love Pulse Pitching. Before release I had planned on turning it off but I tried and it has made me feel completely different about the defensive side of this game.

MLB 11 was amazing.

MLB 12 makes it obsolete.

That is how much of an upgrade 12 is with the new ball physics and all new true to life sound effects. Hitting the ball, catching the ball.....it sounds and feels so much better. And it was already very good on 11.

Just get 12....you won't regret one penny spent. Plus you will get the newest rosters and if your patient the OSFM and soon some classic roster sets which make the game a keeper forever.


I was on the fence about 12. I loved 11 so much and I am usually a 2 cycle sports gamer (keep the same game for at least 2 sometimes three years). But the ball physics made this a no brainer. A true innovation. And the polish is so evident the moment you play your first inning.

Yeah I mean if you want to exclude '12, which I am not sure why, then get '11. But '12 is by far the best with PP and ball physics.

I'd imagine he's short on cash. Perhaps get 2009 or 2010 for 20 bucks, and then get 2012 as soon as the price drops. By then, 2012 will have a few patches, and it will be an even better game.

2012 is amazing though.

Well 2011 will be fairly cheap at Gamestop.

MLB 12 hands down.

I've played a heck of alot of all The Show games since '08, but I REALLY can't stop playing '12.
