Re: Season mode vs Franchise Mode

In season mode do you have to deal with stadium upgrades, vendors, and media contracts?

No, that's why Season Mode is perfect for people who don't want to deal with all of that extra stuff.

One other little tidbit I found interesting that is different in season mode vs. Franchise: You can choose how many innings you play during a game...

I chose 9 innings because that in the natural way to play baseball but I do see the draw to possibly choosing less. Faster games!

However you lose the progression of the game that way, closers, relief pitchers and other strategies go out the window. Not to mention stats will be skewed.

Anyone else notice this? Or Has anyone chosen less innings per game? If so, what has been the advantages/disadvantages?

My question is about prospects.

I know there is no minors, So if I have a catcher that I want to be ready in 3-4 years will he progress still even if he isn't playing in the minors?

I like to build teams up and draft good. How does this work?!

Do you have to control all 30 teams so the lineups and rotations stick? Or do you just pick your team and go. What about adding 15 man to the roster? I using hustlinowl 25 man roster set. I believe he set everything up but just need clarification. Thanks

If you are in season mode and you need to create a new player, can this be done? I do not see that option is available and with only a pool of 15 players to pull from, I cannot see how you would deal with real life change if a young kid from AA moves up quickly. You'd need to create him....but there seems to be no real way.

Hmmm.......

I assume there is both arbitration and Rule 5 Draft because both are stated in the Transaction Handbook, and that includes dates.

I tried Season Mode with a 25-man roster and it was alright until checking Free Agents, and then the screen froze and I had to shut off using power button. There was no problem checking Free Agents using the default roster.
