How to make RTTS more realistic

ok well I really do not like how once you are say 2 or 3 years into the big leagues, your stats are pretty much if you play a lot going to be almost all 99's. I don't like that...for one thing, it gets boring and for another, it's just unrealistic.
does anyone know how I could play so that I have a prime and once I leave my prime my stats go down and I start aging such as a real mlb player would? thanks

Bump up your difficulty for one thing, the harder it is to get a hit or pitch, the harder it will be to gain points. Once you reach a certain age your points will actually start falling more rapidly. Also if you don't have a ton of points to put into your stats every 8 weeks they'll start to drop. So if you find RTTS getting to be "too easy" then just bump up your difficulty and the rest will take care of its self.

If your player has all 99s in his second or third year then you absolutely have to increase the difficulty.
