Vita connection question

I keep getting a message that a new version of the application is available. However, my sytem shows that I have version 1.61. I cant get online and I keep getting the same message. Does anyone know what I am doing or not doing to get online with Vita?

It could be that you haven't obtained the patch for the Show? 1.61 seems to be the version number for Vita. You should be applying a patch for the Show as well.

this same thing happens to me to.even though i have downloaded all updates.also wont connect to my ps3.i dont get it.pretty much a waste of $400.

I agree I cant even get online to download a patch for Vita.

I did an update with it but can't remember exactly what it was called. Can you post the message that you received?

Have Vita as well. Not having those problems. Agree with previous post ... could you post your exact message? Played a game yesterday afternoon on the Vita. Saved to cloud, then downloaded on PS3 this morning. Was working fine then. Has this started happening today on the Vita?

when I try to get online, for example (vault) I get a message saying a new version of the application is available. You must go back to the LiveArea and update the application. Well I go there and it says, "The latest version of the system software is already installed". It does not give me the option to upload another. Therefore, I can not get online.

Are you sure that you are prompted for the system update and not for the Show? As I wrote earlier, the Show has a first patch released already, so isn't that the update you need to apply? I needed to update both. First, the system, which you presumably did since I have the same version number on my Vita. Then the Show. I don't exactly remember how I did that, but it looks to me that you need to update the Show, not the system.

Got it to work, had to restore Vita, but that solved the problem.
