How to time hitting with PS Move Controller

Any tips/advice on hitting with the move controller? I find it really frustrating due to a second delay so I feel like you have to swing a lot earlier than you would with the dual shock controller to compensate.

Maybe a patch will be released to fix this?

In the meantime, anyone gotten good with batting with the move controller?

I don't have a move but if I did I would spend sometime in the homerun derby trying to get used to the timing of it. That would be the best way to do it.

HR Derby feels different. Spend time in the batting cages and choose tough pitchers to hit against.

I am still not feeling much of the lag people are feeling. It might be your tv? Some people say that if you activate the game mode on your tv, it'll get better.

Where I do feel there is lag, is when you use pulse pitching. Don't get me wrong, I got the lag timing down and am successful most of the times but it doesn't feel one to one. At least not on the vita.

You might be right because I tried batting with the dual shock controller like I used to in the previous years' games, and my batting percentage isn't much batter. Maybe hitting in general has become way harder this year.

This was disappointing. How did the Wii of all consoles get this right, even the move game that comes with the controller has flawless control.
The show though... its lame. I was looking forward to hitting with the move in RTTS, but the lag is awful

Hey guys. There are two big questions about the Move controller that I want to address.

            1) Lag with the Move controller. If you are seeing an amount of lag that is about a second, this is most definitely an issue with your TV settings. Make sure your TV is set to GAME mode. We ran across this issue late in our dev cycle when we went to try and show the game at CES. Since all of our TVs in the studio are already set to this, we didn't realize the issue. If you are on any other mode, you are going to see a big and unplayable lag. It actually exists with the DualShock as well, but it is just a lot more noticeable with the Move. There is a slight delay that is inherent to the Move controller as information is getting passed back to the system, but we are talking milliseconds, not full seconds, and it is not something you can not adjust to (if you have to at all).

            2) "Catching" the IK - This is something that people need to get used to. You have to hold the Move still in the batting stance AND it has to be upright to catch. If you are moving it, or if it is angled, it will not catch and you will not be able to link with the player for the pre-pitch movement when you are under Full Control. The reason that we designed it this way is because if we allowed the Move to be linked at any time, it would be impossible to keep your player and you in similar positions. The system can recognize that you are pointing the Move at an angle, but it does not know if that angle is being held at your shoulder or down by your hip. So without having a known starting point, things get ugly.

The reason that the Wii gets it right is because the Wii does not pay attention to where you are in space. It only notices angle and motion. If you hold the Wii in one position and walk around the room, it cant tell. With the Move, it is recognizes where you are in space, which is way cooler, but also causes more design concerns.

            Hope this helps! Later.
