Ramone Russell is...

... a second baseman for the Durham Bulls. Maybe this is old news to everyone else, but I skipped last year's version and hadn't seen this in previous versions. But I was playing my RTTS guy last night and as I was in the field, I heard the announcer call out "Ramone Russell." And sure enough, there he was at the plate, glasses, goatee, and all. Pretty funny. They had him buried at the bottom of the order, but he got 3 hits and took player of the game.

He has played 2b for the durham Bulls for the past 4 years or so. There are other devs that are hidden in the minors also.

and his player model looks better then some of the real players!
OK not really, but it does look good.

I think they have a bunch of the SCEA devs in there.
I saw Eddy Cramm also.

He's one of the guys I will export, along with my CAP, into OSFM.

If he hasn't made it to Tampa by Show13, he should be cut or traded for sure

So I just took a look at his player card. I'm in the 2013 season. He did get called up in 2012 just long enough for a cup of coffee, hitting .238 in 21 at bats with 2 rbis. Back in AAA, he's hitting .262 with 5 hr's and 25 rbi's, but he's out for a while with a broken shin.

I wonder who has seen the best stats from an in-game dev?

When I was in AA, I had to face him alot, and I always dominated him lol.

Then I got traded and he became my teammate.

I think I saw Ramone for the first time in MLB 10; one of my friends was playing RTTS, and all of a sudden, I see that Ramone Russell is Player of the Game. If I was drinking a glass of water, I would've spit it out for sure.

While my player was in the minors, I broke up a double play and the 2nd basemen ended up throwing the ball into the stands. The announcers proceeded to chastise that 2B. Yup, it was Ramone, glasses and all. Made me laugh.

Playing against the Brewers and they just did a double switch and put Ramone in at 2B.
