They are not tied to each other, which is great for me. I have different settings for each as I need a bit of extra help with hitting on the Vita. It absolutely is not a big deal - set each of them and run with it.

This is correct and I also agree. Personally I need a little extra help with hitting on the Vita most notabely pitch speed
