Can you change old style catcher masks?
I was playing against the Athletics, and Kurt Suzuki's mask's padding looks great being green. Joe Mauer's is that tan colour. Is there a way to change the colour? It's kind of a minor thing, but it does add to the experience.Super XV: Crusaders

Re: Can you change old style catcher masks?
I know if you edit the player you can edit many things about the catchers gear, however I've never seen anything regarding he color of the mask. But hey, you can try.
Go to edit player, go to personalize and scroll down to catchers gear. You'll see many options, maybe I just missed it. -

Nope. For years I wanted to change Brian McCann's to red but couldn't. Now McCann wears the new style mask and I don't have to worry about it too much.Atlanta Braves

Re: Can you change old style catcher masks?
This is quite absurd, has been for years. I'm surprised there isn't more of stink.
Basically every catcher in the league wears a mask that matches the uniform:

I mean I'm not like pissed about it or anything, but if you pitch from broadcast cam, the catcher is something you look at all game long, not exactly a "little" detail. For a game with a reputation for little details, it's baffling, frankly.Comment

Re: Can you change old style catcher masks?
The catchers need a bit of updating in the future in general. All of their padding and equipment has always been way too bulky. Kind of annoying. =/ And it'd be kool to see different padding styles, but I'm getting ahead of myself...Comment

I agree. We definitely need some new catcher gear from different brands. And we need to make the hockey style mask smaller.Comment

Couldn't agree more. I was a catcher when I played so little things like this have always been a big deal for me.
The gear needs to be more form-fitting and we definitely need more designsComment
